Youth IMPACT

The project Youth IMPACT (Youth Integration and Motivation for Positive Achievement and Capacity Transformation) focuses on:

Strengthening the capacity of organizations working with young people with visual impairments

Strengthening the capacities of young people with visual impairments

Key outcomes

New employment skills for visually impaired youth

The project aims to equip visually impaired (VI) youth with essential skills, including digital, entrepreneurial, and communication abilities, to enhance their employability and competitiveness in the labor market.

2 international mobility programs

Two six-day mobility programs will provide VI youth with opportunities to participate in non-formal learning experiences, focusing on skill development, self-empowerment, and active participation in their communities.

New tools for enhanced capacities of organizations

A "Bridging Differences Programme" (BDP) Toolkit will be developed, offering comprehensive methods, tools, and best practices for organizations working with VI youth to improve accessibility and inclusion.

Local NGO’s from 4 countries engaged in capacity-building trainings

Capacity-building sessions will train local NGOs in four countries to better support VI youth, promoting knowledge transfer and sustainable inclusion in organizational structures and programs.

Training the trainers

Experts from partner organizations will undergo specialized training to improve their skills in working with VI youth, fostering a multiplier effect as they transfer knowledge to local organizations.

Enhanced participation and inclusion in the society

The project promotes social inclusion and active participation of VI youth by reducing prejudices, raising awareness among institutions, and providing tailored learning opportunities for personal and professional development.

First International Mobility Programme Implemented within the Erasmus+ Project Youth IMPACT

From 20 to 25 March 2026, the first international mobility programme within the Erasmus+ project Youth IMPACT was successfully implemented at Hotel Mediteran in Budva. During the programme, young people with visual impairments from Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in an intensive process of learning, exchange of experiences and mutual connection, building not only new knowledge but also strong interpersonal relationships.

‘Bridging Differences Programme’ Toolkit

One of the main results of the Youth IMPACT Erasmus+ Capacity Building project is the Bridging Differences Programme (BDP) Toolkit, which helps organizations, trainers, and youth workers create more inclusive and accessible environments for young people with visual impairments (VI). The toolkit addresses the increasing demand for useful materials that not only increase awareness but also offer specific strategies for meaningfully and empoweringly involving VI youth.

Transnational Inclusive Horizon Handbook Developed within the YOUTH IMPACT Project

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project Youth IMPACT – Youth Integration and Motivation for Positive Achievement and Capacity Transformation, the Transnational Inclusive Horizon Handbook was developed as one of its key and long-term most significant results. The handbook was produced in the period from November 2025 to January 2026 through intensive cooperation among partner organisations, with this task coordinated by the Union of the Blind of Montenegro.
